We are trying to connect to GSM Mitsubishi Alarm Modem remotely. We are using a PC, an ISDN telephone line and the Mitsubishi Alarm Editor as a software. The type of the GSM modem is GM6. We have tried all the possible combinations and still nothing. The connected PLC to the GSM modem is the Alpha XL. We believe that the modem can’t identify the call as a remote call.
Could you please send us an e-mail with some instructions??

All necessary settings can be found in our "TAM-TransMode with AlphaXL Startup-Document".

"TILA2" is our version of the Mitsubishi Alarm Editor.
"HG" is our version of the MAM-GM6.

I'll send you an email with the Mitsubishi-Version of this document.

Which modem do you use for dialing (connected to your PC) ?

Hi again, thanks for the quick reply!!!

On the PC side we have tried everything from a pci internal modem to a US Robotics external and finaly a Mitsubishi MAM-AM6 analogue modem. we figured that if the "tixi analogue modem" is not compatible then nothing is...

But even then we got the same response from the GSM modem i.e. it opens a line and instantly rejects the call.

I should make clear that all the necessary data options are enabled (we have managed to send fax and e-mail).

Even though I am not at the office at the moment I will go through the directions specified in the PDF file you have sent through my e-mail and test it first thing in the morning.

Please advise wheather the hardware configuration we are trying to use (i.e. PC - MAM - GSM - PLC) is the best for such a task.

thank you in advance for your help!!

As shown within MX-MAE connection window, only EXTERNAL modems are allowed, because internal modems can't handover the DTR line to another application. A US Robotics should work fine, maybe the initialization is wrong. If you send us the MXMAE log, we cann tell you whats wrong.
We recommend to use a MIM-A01 for dialing. It's cheaper than a MAM and also supports (11Bit) Dataformat detection (important for Mitsubishi FX).

Sending fax and email doesn't guarantee that also INCOMING data is enabled. You sould have a seperate data number with your SIM card.
Additionally the MAM-G has to receive a CallerID during the call, otherwise it will disconnect the line.
You can test the callerID function with our CLIP-Tool.
