Often it happens, that customer are having two decentralized controls which should communicate with each other via long distance .
The classical example is a
pump station (head unit) with tank (sub unit).
The state of 3 digital inputs of the head unit has to be copied to 3 outputs of the sub station.
This application can be realized using "
express e-mail " comfortably with TILA2:
After the basic modem settings you have to define at first the sub station
password for the remote switching, e.g., "TIXI".
Then you create a
switch (name: MIRROR) which switches 3 exits via express e-mail by
parameters .
The sub station modem expects therefore an express e-mail with the text
"TIXI MIRROR P1 P2 P3", e.g., "MIRROR TIXI 0 1 1".
In the head unit you generate create a
express e-mail message with the text
"TIXI MIRROR {Input1} {Input2} {Input3}". {InputX} are inserted as
place holder by context menu.
Now create a
receiver with the Express-E-Mail-Address of the sub station, e.g., "MODEM+49-30-40608444".
Now you need
three alarms which send the generated Express-E-Mail-Message to the sub station on "every change".
As soon as in the head unit one of the inputs changes, the state of the inputs will be transfered to the outputs by express e-mail.
That functions not only possible with built-in IOs of the Alarm Modems, but also with any variables of a connected PLC.
