HI,

I am completly new to TIXI Alarm modems, so please bear with me.
We are using HG71 modem on one of our sites, but we are able to reach the modem via cell phone. I suspect that something is wrong with the antenna.
Is there a way that we can know the status of antenna, like what is its current strength or if it has been damaged.

Thanks in advance.

"Able" or "NOT able" ? What exactly do you want to do (Remote access, remote switching) ?

You can use TILA (Alarm Modem -> Properties -> GSM properties) or the GSM-Tool (CSQ-value of diagnose should be >15).

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry about that silly mistake, of course we are not able to reach the modem. We are trying remote switching.
I am using TILA ver 2.2.0 but i did not find GSM properties in there. I reached until Alarm modem -> properties.
I also tried the GSM tool but after i enter the pin and click on set pin it says :
Couldnt found SIM card
make sure SIM card is inserted please

But there is a person at the site and he has confirmed that SIM is inserted and the PIN is also correct.

Can you please advise what should I do next.

Thanks for your effort, really appreciate it.

Remote switching via "Call (caller ID)" or "SMS Message" ?

The "GSM Properties" are only available if TILA is connected to the modem. There should be a button "Poll modem status" to refresh the page.

So the GSM modul is not able to access the SIM card.

What is the status of the five LEDs on top? Was the modem switched off before inserting the SIM card ?

Thanks boss,

the problem was that the technician had inserted the sim card while the modem was on. Yesterday i talked with him and went thru the steps and then i came to know. Now it is working perfectly fine.

Thanks for your excellent support.

Anand
